if you are only taking conference champs, that is MORE than fair for teams like tcu and Boise.
a 2 loss SEC team is better than an undefeated MWC team in most cases.

It is more than fair for the mid majors, but we'd rarely see them reach the championship, much less the semis.

I know Stubbs is waiting til these others get released to rub it in about how I was wrong so...
I believe that teams like OSU, OU and Texas will be wearing these special unis, however, they will not be tricked up like TCU's.

No. The ones that the other schools are wearing are throwbacks and do not make a mockery (sp) of the school.
I cannot believe TCU is allowing itself to be prostituted like this.
The more I see them, the worse they look. Its really, really bad. I wouldn't allow Nike to do that to my school.

Anyone hear about the slogans that go along with these new things? Here are a few -
VT - UT PROSIM - latin for 'that I may be of use' (Not bad)
TCU - DONT BACK DOWN (From who? Other mid-majors and lower tiered programs)
OSU - TRADITION (Generic)
FSU - FEAR THE SPEAR (Pretty good one)
OU - STAKE OUR CLAIM (Relevant to the program)
UF - FINISH THE MISSION (Meh)
MIZZOU - BEAST MODE (Terrible)
UM - THE U KNOWS (gay)
UT - IT ONLY TAKES 11 (Funny-and very relevant to the game)
LSU - COCHON DE LAIT - latin for pig roast (my favorite)
These slogans will be stiched into the back of the jerseys.

Upon further investigation, it looks like there are ten teams that Nike is doing this kind of "theme with a slogan" promotion. TCU's slogan is "Never back down", Va Tech's will be "Good guys wear white". LSU's will be "cochon de lait" which is what the conasses call a pig roast. Wonder what game LSU will break out those new uniforms on? Texas' slogan is "it only takes 11". Wonder what game they will wear those? Wow, sully! Thanks for the insight. I wish someone would have mentioned that earlier. I think tu's is clever, as with LSU's. The rest are terrible. |

tcu got screwed! All of those are better than tcu's. FSU's sucks, but its way better than the frogs. I'd demand a change.
