They could hang with them, sure.
But tcu doesn't deserve to be in the MNC game simply because they haven't played anyone who is any good, and will not.

of course you aren't impressed. But you are impressed with TCU who hasn't beaten anyone even near the caliber that the top three have beaten. you are not exactly objective. Neither did Utah last year...that's why they play the game.

No way TCU would get the nod over a one loss Fla, Bama, or Texas.

You are very out of touch with reality. This default talking point of yours is tired.

I think TCU can hang with anyone for one game.
That doesn't mean they are necessarily better. To be unimpressed with tu, Fla, or Alabama but impressed with TCU implies that you think TCU is an overall better team. They are not. They would lose 8 or 9 out of 10 to any of those 3 schools.
While texas is playing the likes of OU, tceh, OSU, and the North Champion and Florida and bama are beating each other up TCU will be playing some cup cake and whining.

Bumpass has moved to "must have" status for Arkansas. TCU better get the checkbook out.

I'm saying for a 1, 2, and 3 team I am unimpressed. In years past TCU would probably be 6-8 but I have yet to see a dominant team in cfb this year. This might be the worst top 3 of the decade.

They could hang with them, sure. But tcu doesn't deserve to be in the MNC game simply because they haven't played anyone who is any good, and will not. They say they've called 10 teams. At least Boise has come out and offered to play anyone without having to get a return game in Idaho. I kind of respect that. Hahaha...you've bought into the BS too? Come on, Mike...I thought you'd be above that! 10 teams...that's 15% of the BCS teams. They've known for YEARS that they would get an extra game in '11 for going to Hawaii. Why are they just now worrying about it and why whine about it? TCU had two open spots at the end of last season for this season and were able to work out one and dones with UVA and Clemson. Call Clemson...they'd love to have you there. Playing a weak UVA will get you a lot more respect that playing 2 MAC teams. TCU's games against Texas and OU in recent years were one and done. I'd just like to see who they've called. I'm sure CU is on that list and there's no way Hawkins wants to play his old team and he probably won't make it that long anyway. Texas would never play them because it would interfere with their traditional rivals such as Rice, UTEP, NTSU, and a directional Florida. Georgia has played west of the Central time zone once in the last 50 years. Florida never travels west either. Tech would never play them because the last thing Lubbock needs is a few thousand additional trashy people on a Saturday in the fall. This is all a bush league PR stunt and I can't believe you fell for it.

In reality, the only fair way to determine the championship game teams is a playoff. Here is a fair setup: Round one: Big10 vs. Sunbelt, WAC vs. C-USA, MWC vs. MAC, Big East vs. Notre Dame (need 8 wins to qualify) Round two: Game A Big 10/Sunbelt winner vs. WAC C-USA winner Game B MWC/MAC winner vs. Big East/ND winner Round three: Game C Game A winner vs ACC Game D Game B winner vs Pac 10 Round 4: Game E Game C winner vs SEC Game F Game D winner vs Big 12 Championship Game Game E vs. Game F @ Cowboys Stadium

and it's fair. It allows the stronger conferences credit for their tough schedules and championship games but also gives the weaker conferences a shot at the national championship and to prove themselves by playing two or three tough games in a row.
it's a win/win situation for everybody.
