There you go, Fischer knows better than to upset the fishing gods.

****The weights of these fish have been purposely left off of this report. The board member who guesses the weight closest wins a high five. Post guesses in this thread. I will announce the winner whenever I feel like it. **** we hit the water this morning at about 6:30 AM. The temperature was 28 degrees. Not surprisingly, we are the only boat on the lake. The wind is howling from the North as we launch the boat. We quickly trot across the lake and head to the Twin Coves area of Lake Grapevine. Sully decides to toss a Grande Bass Rattlesnake, Watermelon seed, rigged on a Shakey head. I decide to toss a Rayburn Red Rattle Trap. Neither one of us can feel our hands, feet, faces, or any other extremities. About this time we notice that our rods and reels have iced over as the water hit them. Around 7:30 I snagged the first fish of the day, weighing ___lbs and ___oz. This nice little chunk was caught in about 4 ft. of water. The water temp was 52.5 degrees. After another few hrs of battling the cold and the wind we decide to retreat to the south side of the lake to hide in a cove and try our luck there. I was able to stick the second fish of the day weighing ___ lbs and ___ oz. This fish was also caught on the Rayburn Red Rattle Trap in about 2 ft. of water. After a brief lesson in Murphy's law, we decided to head back across the lake and brave the north wind to end the day. The final picture is sully to end the day. All in all it was an extremely cold, windy, long, and tough day on the water with minimal results. But, Sully and I would both agree, that it wasn't too bad considering the conditions. I think Sully learned a valuable lesson about pissing off the powers that be when it comes to fishing (doubt he posts a pic thread before we go again). ****Remember to guess the weights of the fish****

1. 1 lb 11 oz
2. 3 lb 4 oz
3. Sucks you didn't catch anything. Probably ought to do some sucking up to the fishing gods.

It was freezing. Yeah, 4 in a row. My luck needs to change soon, before I give up fishing and stick to hunting only. I bought a new reel yesterday, so maybe that'll help.

I don't know. If I was good enough to know what I'm doing wrong, I'd fix it.
