Don't have any, but I came prepared for sure. Bacon and eggs Sat morning were good. Ribs and sausage, potato salad on Sat night were greatness. Beers, Bloody marys, never ran out of booze. Mister was a failed bit due to no water source. Our sites were setup pretty good. Good crowd too.

Mike, you missed some good tazing. We had the tazer out several nights tazing anyone who would volunteer for it. My wife had a blast lighting my ass up with it. It can be quite sobering at times.

awesome to finally meet a bunch of yall. which one's were not "awesome" to meet? don't hold it against Sully. First impressions are not his strong suit. haha they were all awesome. I met kelly first. we had a short convo outside the potties. then i found them all again in front of the stage during the guys set. stubbs threatened to fight me. sully waved from behind the crowd. i think that was friday night...the days are all running together. saturday when i finally made it back to the campsite, i again was babysitting megan the drunk, trying to keep her from getting raped, and was also a wee on the piss drunk side of things, and exhausted from carrying the drinking torch for 5 days straight. but i met ole honest AbeFrohman there, had a short convo with sully, gave stubbs a good jab at something, and no sir'ed brooks on his choice for the night while moseying back to my campsite haha. keep in mind that i'll be in denton the 3rd weekend in august. if yall want to meet up and grab a brewski, thats fine by me. no bigtiming here

One small bone to pick with the RFT execs though.
There seemed to be much less people there this year. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's just what it seemed like to me. By late Saturday night, no one was watching the music at all. In fact, Friday night when RP50PR went on, maybe 1/4 of the people there watched. Why not just have a camping trip and let the smaller acts play a few sets each night for two nights or something? Prices would be lower and everyone (maybe more people) would still attend. Doesn't seem like everyone is there for the music to me.
Also, I talked to the owner of MB for a few minutes Sat morning, and he made a comment like it was the slowest weekend of the year for them. He said they gave the RFT folks a break on the rates, and were losing money. Is this float trip a big fundraiser for RFT?
I had a blast all weekend, but just thought it could have been done better. Seems like jacking the prices up in these times might not have been the best move.

Saturday night convo eludes me as well mister sully. i think it was just a general recap of the weekend, how awesome it was to finally put faces to names, and how cool DB was.
less folks showed up this year than they expected. i think it was just toooooooooooo long of a trip, ya know? last year was perfect. one day of pre-party, two days of music. prices were lower, etc. MB didnt lose any money, i can tell you that much. they made a nice profit. i know that because when we planned out our chili cook off deal, they made at least $5 over the normal $12 that they charge a night to camp.
technically the price was the same as last year if you break it out per day...they just added on an extra day, hence the higher price. I dunno about the fundraiser part. I steer clear of that.

I think the lack of water and the high prices had a lot to do with decreased attendance. I noticed last year that the music was secondary to the camping/float/drinking experience (not that this is bad or wrong). Also, the acts that were performing did not justify the cost of the ticket. I saw maybe three acts that I really cared about seeing perform.

very good point too mike. it was a combo of factors. low river, effing outrageous temps, higher prices.
