I think RP believes in himself and I have NEVER seen him take that kind of attitude. You don't have to be a dick to be a success.

I agree with that. I usually just take what I want. Everything is a tactical operation for me. My attitude gets shitty from time to time too. My mode of operation is, if you think you can stop me, please try. Haters can't stand to see a winner.

just now seeing this...
I'll vouch with what Aaron said about Pug. He's a great kid. Everytime I've complimented his music, it's always been an humble receiving and replied to with a "thank you, ma'am" or something along those lines. He's got a TON of talent and potential.
I think where the attitude might have popped up is from folks 9 times out of 10 giving him crap about not having gone thru heartache and pain and such...telling him he's too young to know about those kinds of things. we've had convos on this before. fact of the matter is, he's been thru his own version of heartache and pain. at 19, he's been on the road for about a year and a half singing and doing his thing. i'm sure the pesos can attest that the road is a hard life at times, no matter your age, and it causes maturity to some degree, which may turn out in the form of lyrics to a song.
I honestly dont think Pug is a bit cocky. You just have to know him and his personality and sense of humor. He jokes around a lot like I do, acting more cocky than he really is. A lot of times its just to get a reaction and theres no meaning behind it other than that. I think he's just confident in himself and that may come across as cocky at times. Granted, it may have come off wrong. i'll give you that. i'm not going to tell you guys that what yall thought is wrong. thats exactly your opinion. Just remember that he's only 19 and is still learning a whole lot about this bidness. RP's got a bunch of years and experience on puglet. plus everyone might have a "moment" every now and again.

Oh, (this is all coming back to me now) he also played this other song that was outstanding. I told him it was a great song and he sneered at me in a dickish way that only CJMF could do and said "It's a Merle Haggard song." Sorry dude...you're delivery had nothing whatsoever to do with how I liked the song...forgive me...move along, nothing to see here.

Reminds me of the first time I talked to Brooks and told him how much I enjoyed Rodney's song, 'Broke Down'.
