Craig is what is commonly referred to as correct.
Mediocrity is not 13-3, Mr. Finch.

Unlike college football Mike, the regular season means jack shit in the NFL. No playoff wins in the last 12 years is all that matters. Not to mention a 62-66 record since the year 2000, which is about as mediocre as a team can get.

the regular season does matter. You can't make the playoffs without it.

Thank you Captain Obvious. I'm saying in terms of a successful season, do you think the Pats felt great after going 18-1 last year. I doubt it.

well, by that definition, only one team a year is a success
The Cowboys are the most successful team in NFL history.
They aren't anymore of a failure for losing in the first round than they would be for losing in the Superbowl by your standards, so who cares where you fail? It doesn't matter if you aren't hoisting the trophy.

Regular season doesn't matter? How do you think you make the playoffs?
This mediocre franchise has been in the playoffs for 29 times in their history that began in 1960. Only one other team can say that, the Giants, of course they have been playing since 1925.
Oh yeah...5 for 8 in Super Bowls, buddy.

Finch just doesn't like Jerry Jones.
You can argue with him all day and he won't budge. They could win the superbowl 6 times in a row and lose the next year and he would say they suck, and what have you done lately

I can see he is just another one of the haters out there. I think it's because he is forced to watch teams in the Houston market. Jealousy and envy is a powerful combination.

No, he just hates Jerry Jones.
He can hold a grudge, that one.

First off, I don't really care about any NFL teams. The NFL is boring to me, that's why I bet on it, to make it interesting.
Second, I hate Jerry Jones because he has ruined my former favorite NFL team. I used to be as big a Cowboys fan and the rest of y'all, until Jerry decided that he knew more about football than the coach he hired on the sidelines. When it comes to selling tickets and merchandise and building a profitable franchise he is arguably the best in any major sport. But when it comes to winning games he is near the bottom, yet he still makes the same old tired moves day in and day out.

It doesn't matter if you aren't hoisting the trophy. For some teams making the playoffs is a good season, for others it is making it to the conference championship. But when you are the Yankees of football, all that matters is that you win, which Jerry has proven time and time again he doesn't know how to anymore.
