I was hoping for this deal. But, that's a lot to give up in next years draft. Pacman out. We're hurting on D. If we can get to the bye at 6-3, we'll be in good shape.

TO has always been known as a sloppy route-runner. Those were the main issues McNabb and Garcia had with him. He complained he wasn't getting the ball enough (and still does). They said they threw to him plenty and if he weren't so lazy on his routes he'd get more thrown to him b/c he's a helluva talent. Sloppy routes mean he's not giving 100% and therefore taking plays off. There's times when your body prevents you from giving 100% but there's no excuse for not giving a 100% mental effort. He's paid millions of dollars to give 100% for about 20 minutes a game. I don't think that's too much to ask. In the first quarter he was thrown to 6 times with only 2 catches. If Romo had that same percentage to every receive he'd be out of a job.

Exactly.
And the opinion of a cowboy hater is worth exactly what you pay for it.
I remember seeing TO on "Hard Knocks" instructing the other WR's on how to run pass routes. The guy works hard on the field and wants to win. Does he get frustrated? Of course, he's human. Does his frustration get the best of him? YES. His major problem is he is too concerned with his ranking against the greatest WR's off all time. Do I want him on my team? HELL YES!

Stubbs, I have never heard anyone say TO is a poor route runner. Also, even if you do run poor routes it does not mean you take plays off. That is retarded. Screwing up and taking plays off are two different things. Nice try there. TO is known as an extremely hard worker. Everyone mentions that about him.

Never saw the question.
I think he will help a lot. He has to be better than Crayton.

Typical Jerry Jones move, they need help in the secondary so he goes out and over pays for a wide receiver. So much for his last 3 drafts being pretty good, he gave up a first and a third rounder for a guy who will have a minimal impact. Enjoy ten more years of mediocrity cowboys fans.

Yeah, wow. I didn't see that he gave up the 1st and 3rd rounders. I don't know about all of that. I think he is a good #2 receiver. Not worth all of that.

They also traded a 6th, but they got a 7th and I think they get a 5th from the Titans since Pac Man got suspended.

Yeah, they have a pick in every round except the 1st. That could change, too. It's a long time until April.
If the Cowboys end up winning the Super Bowl, that 1st rounder could be way less important than if they tank. They could also trade up for a first round pick.

Yea they still have like 9 picks in the draft including 2 in the third I think (maybe fourth). Roy is a great receiver that hasn't been on the right team since he has been in the league. I mean really, the Lions have drafted a receiver Number 1 so many times in the past 10 years and look how they produced them. Calvin is finally turning into a top and Roy has been there barring injuries. I think it will turn out great.

Craig is what is commonly referred to as a sunshine pumper. The ultimate positive fan.
