Oooo...UH is 41-51 this decade, hasn't won a bowl game since the 1980 Garden State Bowl, and hasn't beaten TCU since '92...meanwhile, TCU not played in a bowl only once since '98, had 5 top 25 finishes this decade, and is 62-25 since 2000. I can see why you'd put UH ahead of TCU and SMU tied with them...

because I think that UofH could beat tcu. I also think its a toss up between tcu and smu.
Like Finch said, if we were going on recent wins then A&M would be ahead of texas. But none of us really believe that.

I think TCU could beat SMU this year. It's going to take Jones about a year until he gets them competitive. After that, TCU's short reign in the Metroplex will be a memory.

It's "reign" has been almost 20 years. Even when they were BAD SMU was still worse-except for the '97 season...but even then our only win was against the ponies.

If we are going last 20 years then A&M is easily above tceh, but that isn't how it works.

How about this:
Is it possible for TCU to ever be one of the top 5 football PROGRAMS in Texas, while playing in a mid major conference?
I say, no.

Excellent point, but what about BU? I have a hard time putting them above TCU.

That is why I used the term PROGRAM. Baylor has a much stronger history and with Briles as Coach a much brighter future.

Houston won a CUSA championship in '06, TCU won a MWC championship in '05. This is recent history, not 20 years ago.

On that note I agree you would have to put Gaylor above TCU.

Good point. BUT:
MWC=CUSA=SunBelt=Missouri Valley>Lone Star Conference=Southland Conference

Are you saying the MWC is equal to CUSA or greater than?
