Grabbing the wheel and steering this back to topic: If they want to speed up the game, all they have to do is get the umpires to enforce the strike zone that is on the books and raise the height of the mound to what it was pre-1969. The refusal to call the high strike forces pitchers to throw low thus increasing the batters ability to hit the ball. The strike zone is between the numbers and the knees, not whatever the particular umpire feels is "his" strike zone. Just call the damn pitch like it says in the book. But chicks dig the long ball.

I have it on good authority that chicks do, in fact, dig the big stick.
I think some of them like baseball as well.
