"I prefer the individual seat cushions with a back." - Stubbs
You're just pissed that you walked all that way into the stadium carrying those stupid things and you didn't get to use them. Gay.

not to mention, nearly all suites are behind glass. If you don't want to be behind glass don't pony up the dough for a suite (pun intended).

I'm talking about the ones that they place in the seats for the season ticket holders...although I forgot to order mine this year...

TCU put new suites in the endzone and they have three rows of seats in front of the glass. The stadium will be refurbished in a couple years and they'll put some more on the home side, underneath the 2nd deck-if they decide to keep it.

take off the purple colored glasses my friend. amon g carter is a dump. The suites at Ford look pretty cool. All you need a scoreboard for is the score. You would rather have regular bleachers than bench backs? That makes one person. The sound system is just fine. Once again, you are there to watch a game. I hate when announcers talk too much with the volume turned way up. I'm not saying that AGCS doesn't need some ugrayyeds. It certainly does...but I'm also the same guy that had a love affair with the old Arlington Stadium. They could certainly repave the concourse and clean up the bathrooms. The suites look stupid. I can't imagine being at a game and watching it behind enclosed glass. I prefer the individual seat cushions with a back. The sound system didn't work half the time. When it did the announcer was retarded-or his spotter was-perhaps both. He called it 3rd and 2. The chains come out for a measurement and TCU gets the first by half a football. Have you been working with CJMF because you are a back peddling son of a gun. It wasn't the sound system that sucked, just the announcer. The seats didn't suck, you just prefer different ones. You don't like watching games behind glass, so you sit in the regular seats, but the suites suck because watching a game behind glass sucks. So basically there is absolutely nothing wrong with the place but you had to find something to bitch about because you feel inferior to SMU.

Where did you get all that from? I never said the sound system didn't suck. It did and WHEN it did, the announceer was retarded. I never said the seats sucks-as you stated, I just prefer other ones-especially at a college game. Yes, the suites suck b/c watching behind glass sucks. I have no reason at all to feel inferior to SMU.

I'll take watching a game at Ford Field over Amon G. Carter any day. There is no comparison between the two. Ford Field is one of the best designed, most enjoyable places to sit and watch a football game. Now, the quality of the game I'm watching is a whole different story. I was so taken aback by the junior high sound system, the high school AV scoreboard production, and the JUCO product on the field that I didn't even notice much of the design. The glass houses suites do look awful. I'm not a big fan of the bench backs. The whole thing is a logistical nightmare. You said the sound the system sucked, but then your reason for it sucking was the announcer was retarded. Just because the announcer sucked that doesn't mean the sound sucked. And I seriously doubt it only worked half the time. In the quote above you used the bench backs as a reason why the stadium sucked. As fischer said, that makes one. You are just trying to find things to complain about.

What I'm trying to say is the reasons you listed as why the stadium sucked are three things that all stadiums have. You're just nit picking because deep down inside you really like the place and wish TCU could have the same.

Whatever. The sound seriously worked only half the time. It was awful. They had a halftime presentation and a video. I thought it was a silent film until about 3/4 the way through when the sound started to work...so they started the whole thing ever again. They would play these stupid clips of profs trying to get the crowd to make some noise...but no noise would come out of the speakers.

The editorial by the SMU rich kid was ridiculous.
That being said: SMU stadium>TCU stadium

I dare you to find more than a handful of people in the metroplex that think Amon G Carter is better than Ford Field.
I dare you to find more than a handful of people anywhere that don't think that Ford Field is one of the nicest stadiums they have seen. Not biggest, not loudest...nicest.

according to who? I haven't seen anything that says the stadium isn't nice, other than you griping about seat backs and the announcer.
They may not have liked their experience there, but the stadium is not the reason.
Why is it so hard for you to admit that the place is nice? It doesn't mean you have to be an smu fan. Its just stating an obvious fact.

The Doak Walker statue/plaza on the northeast side was pretty cool. Hope we do something like that when the stadium is renovated.
