All parties had a fair shot.
The ump was in the best position for that play. Apparently, he always slow calls. I think he had it right.

He is slow with balls and strikes but his delay in that particular sitution was highly inappropriate. What's he gonna do? Do the same thing on a called 3rd strike in the bottom of the ninth in game 7 of the WS?
He was out of position. On a throw from right field, he should have been at about 5 o'clock..especially with how guys slide these days. He was at about 3:30.
BTW, Holiday...what a dumbass. I dislocated my jaw doing the same damn thing and he's luck he didn't break his.
