Along with Mahay to ATL for Salamanaca, a minor league shortstop, ad 2 minor league pitchers.

Yes, good ridance. He is a helluva player but if he doesn't want to be here, get him outta here. It sounds like they got some good prospects out of it...now, go out and get some pitching with the money you save on Tex.

This is from CJ Wilson's blog:
63...pieces moving
mark teixeira and ron mahay are now atlanta braves...
jarrod saltalaphabet-super prospect C/1b elvis andrus - super prospect SS (jose reyes jr?) and some other super pitching prospects are coming our way...
good job JD- you just saved us 12 million dollars that we can spend next year on a stud pitcher, or a centerfielder. I like the move a lot.
i'm sorry to all the fans that loved mark- but he always wanted to play for atlanta anyway- he loves living there, and went to school there, and his wife's family is from there...and he's going to be too expensive for us to keep and still sign guys that we need to sign.
part of the business!

CJ is a total ChrisChris but you gotta love his accessability.
The catcher will be at first base on Tuesday night...mark it down.

I just emailed CJ's comments to Junior and he read it on the air. Sweet. Now, if I could just get those damn Hardliners to respond to the Concert Calendar suggestions...

I'm on board with this move. Getting rid of the clubhouse cancer is addition by subtraction.

The Musers were saying that not too many of Tex's teammates are broken up about him leaving. From the stories that were told; Texiera sounds like a pompous, know-it-all whiner.
Supposedly; Hicks offered Texiera an 8 year- $140M contract to resign. Tex turned it down. If this is true Texiera/Hicks are complete idiots. Hicks for offering and Tex for turning it down.

Agreed but I think Hicks was actually trying to call his bluff and expose him for what he is.

If Hicks was calling his bluff with an offer of $140M; he must have balls the size of grapefruits.

No, just unicorns and angel wings that are worth a fortune on the open market.

MY seems to like him too. As frustrating as this season has been, there have been a lot of positive things come out of it.
CJ was simply amazing tonight. I don't think he's ready to be a full-time closer but Buck is getting the last laugh on all CJ's critics. I was one of them until his 500th shelling last year. I figured if this guy can get slapped all over the field and still get in there and throw 96 MPH in on the hands of Big Pappi, he must have a little something.
