Well Finch---I think it will be a White Sox/Mets series. Personally, I would love to see the little formerly red-shoed Rangers battle the STL Cards. That would be fun. I think the Cards will falter. The Brew Crew is only 5 games out. Watch out for Det. The Mets look pretty damn strong too. They have some good player men. Cards are getting back in the groove. If Mulder comes back with his usual stuff, they will be there.

I thought we had seen the last of the 300 win guys but Glavine will make it. I love watching him and Kenny pitch at their age. If the Mets need it, they will go out and get it at the dead-line.

Pedro=old Glavine=old
They dont have the stamina to stay at the level they are at now. If they go 7 games in a series both pitchers, although bery good this year, won't be at their best.

Oh you young whippersnapper! These guys are both pitchers...at the most they only go 8 innings every 5th day. I"ll take my chances with their playoff experience over youthful stamina anyday. Sincerely, The AARP

While I respect your wisdom gained through years of experiance, I have to disagree. It will be an interesting October though.

No, when it comes to baseball I am not as educated as most, so it is hard for me to argue shit I don't really know about. But since you want me too, old people SUCK!

Well, I just heard that the Yankees picked up sydney ponson off the waiver wire to bolster an already stellar pitching staff. If, after this key pick-up, anyone can seriously argue that we are not the odds on favorite to win the series, I'd love to hear it.

Ponson is a fat, washed-up headcase. I sincerely hope that was sarcasm. They picked him up off the WAIVER WIRE. The Cards released him and replaced him with JEFF WEAVER-a known spare! LAA just released him and replaced him with another spare-HIS OWN BROTHER! 21 other teams passed on him. He is mental and a clubhouse cancer. He's also had some choice words for NYY in the past and those dumb ass yankees can't remember how to spell or say excuse me but they'll remember every time you cross them. They are better with Scott Erickson in the rotation.

Ponson is a fat, washed-up headcase. Even though Ponson and I share these traits; I must agree with the rest of your posts. WELL STATED!

Damn, Stubbs made like 10 posts in a row here. Who likes to talk SPORTS? Good discussion. But Harvey, you're gay.

Hey, we may have a team that has limited experience in October, but we are all for them. What about your hometown boys?

Yeah, even though our thirdbaseman sucks it up we don't boo him. "Yours" is one of the best talents ever and he hits a game-winning homerun in the bottom of the 13th and gets booed.
Sully, baseball IS a talkin' sport.
