RP--Where would you say ya'll got the best reception on this tour? What was your general opinion of the different cities you visited? Which Yankee city had the fattest women? I'll hang up and listen.

I know this question was addresses to Rod, but I'll put in my opinions. We got a really surprising reception at Mike's in KC. Our fan base there seems to be a little bit stronger than we thought it was. Wichita is always great. We sold a lot of cds in Lincoln, even through the crowd was small. The room in Minneapolis was cool, but empty - the band we played with there was cool, I think they were called 6 mile grove. The club in Des Moines was really cool, but the audience wasn't that interested. THe staff and ownership there were great people. That place was Hairy Mary's. The show in Augusta KS had a fair number of problems before it started. The people there were more into it than we expected though. Also, there was a fight there, involving a 23 year old girl and a 40 year old man, that was kind of exciting. Josh in tulsa treated us like rock stars, as usual.
Fattest girls? That might be a draw. Living in Texas, we are spoiled.

No problem Baron, I appreciate the reply!
Hey, do you remember a show at the White Elephant beer garden a few years back; where a fat, old, bald guy asked you about the song "Brokedown"?

We only played in the beer garden once, I think. If that's right then I do remember the show. I don't remember anything else about it besides that we where in fact there. Wait, I kind of remember.......ummm.........OH YEAH! There were lots of faux-cowboy poser assholes chasing around thrice divorced tore up ladies in rockies!

Just kidding. Kind of. Yeah remember that show, were you sitting with just you and a lady? And was I playing solo when I played "brokedown"?

Dang Rodney; you really hate the Stockyards.
I was there and the only cowboys I saw were wearing rodeo numbers on their backs from the rodeo across the street. My wife and I had the pleasure of talking to your Dad and his friend Eldon(?). They were really nice folks and we sure enjoyed the show.

No, but I remember that show because I had to open solo for our band because our opener didn't show up. I remember that hardly anyone was listening except a couple at a table. Guess that was you. Small world. Yeah, I hate the stockyards. Not the cowboys who ride - my dad rides in that rodeo sometimes - but the "all hat no cattle" set.

If I remember correctly; your dad said he had ridden in the rodeo that night.
I'm certainly not a frequent Stockyards visitor (maybe 3 or 4 times a year, depending on how often out of town guests come down) and I sure understand what you mean by the "all hat and no cattle set". To me; they are just a part of the experience that I try to ignore or laugh about. Anyways; that night we were lucky the opener didn't show since we got to hear RP "Unplugged"-like I said we enjoyed the show.
