There is a huge contingent of idiots that wants that to happen.
There is also a huge contingent of rational people who will try and stop it.

Guns have been pretty safe for the last 10 years or so, but I have a feeling this might be the straw that broke the camels back.

Funny how POTUS campaigned in '08 that he would have a serious discussion about guns and he's been silent for 4 years on the matter. Until he fesses up that he directed the sale of guns to the cartels for the sole purpose of them killing innocent civilians to prove a point there is no discussion.
