So....
Last friday night I misplaced my wife's ONE AND ONLY key fob to her 2006 volvo S60 T.
It's wednesday and we still ain't found it, and I'm getting beat over the head by my wife about it something serious.
My ONLY options are:
Buy a factory replacement key fob that will come programmed from the factory to only unlock the power locks, trunk, glove box and WILL NOT START THE CAR. I would then have to take the key that does not start my car, TOW THE CAR to the nearest Volvo dealership in Houston, then have them download the software to the car computer that VOLVO will charge me $80 for that will match the new information from the key transponder in order to even start the car. The labor charge is a good $120. We are looking at an easy 400-500 bucks by the time this shit is over and fixed.
or
I FIND THE FUCKING KEY.
FML.

Ouch, that is pretty damn ridiculous for a lost key. Good luck finding that sucker, I can't even imagine the bull shit I would have to put up with if I did this to Jen.

This is why my husband is NOT allowed to carry my extra fob to volvo XC90 around with him. They are way to damn expensive to replace, and he looses things regularly. When we bought it the salesman looked dead at me and said "DO NOT lose the keys, you'll be out 250 by the time you get it replaced."
Sully be nice....Foreign trucks are shit, foreign cars and small suv's are awesome. Case in point...My cars, and the miles I put on them before I got rid of them, and not one had the transmission or engine replaced. I rounded down. Honda Civic-270,000 Toyota Camry- 260,000 Toyota Corolla-275,000 And the winner of them all Nissan Altima-293,000- that ones almost exact, I'm pretty proud of that- and I actually sold that one to someone I know a year ago, and it's still running just fine.
I have never heard of a ford focus, or a chevrolet malibu going that far......just sayin'

If I ever get a truck though, It will probably be Ford ....but I think I've found a car for life, I LOVE LOVE LOVE my car, and I've never "loved" a vehicle.

Update on the Missing Key:
Moinlaw was able to locate the Valet Key and overnighted it to us. We got it friday last week and I avoided a divorce.
Moinlaw got flowers today.
Still no sign of the Key Fob I lost.
"I'll tell you who stole that damn key fob... It was that damn Sasquatch"
