Julie is out of town, but I am going to be smoking a brisket and having a few homebrews/regular brews and hanging out with the neighbors if anyone is interested.
Sorry Sully, I won't be able to make it over to help lay sod. Although y'all are more than welcome to come over here after working all day.

That complementary beer lasted you the whole trip?

Care to tell us about it? I've always wondered what it was like to ride the Amtrak. How did the briskets turn out?
After all the yard work, I went up to Denton to meet Lytle and some other old friends. Drank and ate on the Sweetwater patio til 9 or so, then went to the LABB. Good day.

The beers were hardly complimentary. Most expensive I've ever purchased without any boobs available for public viewing. It wasn't me that was drunk, it was 75% of the other people on the train. IF, I ever do it again, I will bring my own.
Trip was pretty ghetto, but it wasn't as bad as I figured it would be. Seats were at least comfortable and roomy, fellow passengers were a people watcher's paradise. 17 hours is a long trip. East Texas is some pretty country.

17 hrs on a train doesn't sound like much fun unless boobs are available for public viewing. Tough one, pal.

Well, sometimes your options are limited when you're a common man.
