As most of you know, I brew my own beer. Up till now, I've been bottling all of it, which is a major beatdown. So I bought a keg setup. After that, one thing led to another and I built this to house my homebrew. Took 3 weeks to build. Had a lot of help. What do y'all think? I made it out of a chest freezer.

dang. Those pictures are very grainy. So much for the Iphone having a great camera.
Anyways, I've got a brown ale carbonating right now that will be ready this weekend. Christening party for the new kegerator on Sunday if anyone wants to come over.

You know Fischer, I never pegged you to be one of those weirdo artsy type folks but that right there is a work of art.
That's a nice setup dude. The craftsmanship of that thing is top-shelf.
The top surface is beautiful. The backlight above the taps is a neat touch.
Did you biscuit join the corners or is it block framed?
The grain is very aesthetically pleasing to look at.
That's one to hold onto for years.
Good work son. Good work.

Thanks Jk5R78pl9 and DB, I really appreciate the compliments.
I mitered all the joints on the trim, except for the two vertical pieces.
For those, I ripped the width of the trim off of the side pieces and jointed that piece with a full width front piece. That way the trim is equal on front and sides.

They are pictures, there are no words.
But they do tell the story of a kegerator.

They are three pictures of a chest freezer that I converted into a kegerator.
It has two taps, an oak cabinet built around it, with a granite tile top. There are also lights inset above the taps just for effect.
That's about it.

That's very DIY of you. Did you learn that from the Goose when he did the man cave for that guy the Kardashian girl dumped?

I've got no formal (or really informal) training. I just tinker with stuff.
I built our kitchen table, end tables, 2 coffee tables, a bench, a wall table, a dominoes table, and a bunch of other wall hanging stuff in our house.

And you didn't have to buy Sweet 'n Low to balance them out. Good job.

That thing is nice. Ready to serve myself a beer out of it, unless you have someone that does that for you now too.
