I don't care what he does as long as he doesn't bean someone in the ass in Game 7 of the World Series.

I think Yu will flourish. He isn't a typical Jap pitcher.

I don't care what he does either. Just don't blow a save in the clinching Game 6 of the World Series.

Well I didn't want the Rangers to pay that. I'm not totally out on Mitch the Bitch anyways. We also have Mike Olt creeping up in the minors too. He is one of the hottest players across baseball in the minors. That doesn't mean much, but at some point our stout farm system is going to have to show its face in the majors.

Can't believe Boras found a team to take on such a ridiculous contract. I guess Detroit believes this is the missing piece, but I just can't see how Fielder is worth anywhere close to that for any team.

It is more of a replacement piece rather than a missing piece. I don't think this happens if VMart doesn't get hurt. By 2014 half of their lineup would be DHs on any other team, though. Short-term I think this will be great for them. However, the long-term scenario doesn't seem like it would play out well.

way too much for Fielder. I want Boras to negotiate my next RP50PR message board contract.

Short-term I think this will be great for them. I kind of thought this as well until it came out that Miguel Cabrera will be playing the hot corner again. The last time he played there he had 5 errors in 14 games. That won't fly for a full season no matter how good you are at the plate.

Yea, their infield is going to be awful on defense. Their shortstop even has some pudginess to him. This will have to be the heaviest infield on baseball history.

Hearing some rumors of rumors of the Rangers signing Roy Oswalt.
I whole heartily support this move!

I do too. He's 34. That's like being 28 in any other professional sport. Especially for a pitcher. He still has some good years left in him, I think. Plus I bet they can get him on the cheap.

Prince Fielder will sink the Tigers (no pun intended) much like A-Rod sank the Rangers. Mark it. It will be the millstone that will finally kill the city of Detroit. I think the old man did it to try to win a World Series before he kicks the bucket and figures the latter years won't be his problem.

I would just make sure that Oswalt's back is at 100%. How would we reorder the rotation with him?

I just have a hard time thinking that replacing a 26-year-old with 14 wins and a sub 3.4 ERA with a 34 YO with a bad back is a good thing.
