What are yours? This week was the worst sports week of all time:
Rangers lose game 6 Broncos lose Rangers lose game 7 Aggies lose Cowboys lose
Worst of all time:
1.) Ags lose to OSU this year. It was going to be our coming out party. The nation was watching. We dominated for a half, and then blew it. Gut wrenching. Same old Ags.
2.) Rangers lose game 6. No explanation needed. I am afraid this one could have long term effects.
Those two stand out as the worst ever. I can't even put any others in that category.
Some other notables:
Ags lose to Baylor in 04 Ags lose to OU in 04 Ags lose to tu in 05 Ags lose to NU in 06 Ags lose to tech in 06 Ags lose to OU in 06 Ags lost to OSU in 10 Cowboys lose to SF in 1994 NFC champ game Cowboys lose to GB in 1996 NFC champ game Cowboys lose to GB in 1997 NFC champ game Aggie Basketball loses to LSU in 06 round of 32 Aggie Basketball loses to Memphis in 07 sweet 16 Aggie Basketball loses to UCLA in 08 round of 32

Rangers Game 6 is the worst ever for me. It will have long-term effects.
I'll have to tell you all about it later, but just the way it played out personally for me was just bad. I still feel depressed from it. I need to put a bullet in a deer this weekend to help me get over it.

Yea, Rangers game 6 was worst ever.
I agree with all of yours Fischer. I will also throw in the Romo fumbled hold in the playoffs against the Seahawks.

yeah, that was bad, but for some reason I wasn't as upset by it as those others.
I think it was because I lived in Brenham and had so much other stuff going on.

Didn't even think about the Cowboys losing to San Fran in '94, that one killed me as a little kid.
Ags losing in the Cotton Bowl to LSU is probably the one that pisses me off the most right now. That was a chance to take the next step, and we pissed the bed.
OSU this year is another one, still can't believe how bad this team is in the second half, pathetic really.
But all three of those combined probably didn't suck as bad as Game 6 did for Ranger fans. I can't imagine watching one of my favorite teams come within one pitch to win, twice, and not coming through. That was gut wrenching to watch and I'm not even a fan.
Baylor in '04 is another tough one, worst game I have ever attended.

Watching Phil Mickleson double bogey the final hole to lose the US Open was another tough one for me. I don't know why, I don't usually care that much about individual sports, but I have always been a big Phil fan and just hated watching him meltdown like that.

Last year's OSU game was incredibly frustrating. Especially once the end of the season hit and we knew what that win would have meant for the team.

I have had several, but the biggest 4 would have to be (in no particular order): A. 1969 #2 Ark vs #1 Tex football game. game was hyped like no other. Nixon flew in on a helicopter to watch it. Billy Graham gave the prayer. ONLY game played that day. Hogs lead all the way until late 4th quarter, when James Street converts a 4th and 3 with a 44 yard pass to Randy Peschel against double coverage. Horn's go on to score a TD, go for 2 and win it 15-14. Nixon basically awards them the National Championship in their dressing room after the game. I can still feel that sinking feeling. I was 9 years old. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1969_Texas_vs._Arkansas_football_gameB. 1998 Ark/Tenn football. Both teams are 8-0. Arkansas only has to run out the clock when Clint Stoerner stumbles and lays the ball on the ground. Tenn recovers, scores and goes on to win the National Championship. C. 1982 Dallas vs SF in NFC Championship game. Montana hits Clark for a TD with a play that will become known as "the catch". D. Game 6. It will take a long time to get over this one, if I ever do. (see 1969 Ark/TX game)
