I knew his caddie Boston when he was a little kid. He was a good ballplayer and pretty good at golf when he was about 10 or so. They went to First Baptist and I played with his dad Randy in a men's baseball league in Denton. Pretty cool.

Randy still plays in those baseball leagues and owns the North Lakes driving range. My brother knows Kelly, I don't think I have ever met him. I do know the Brittains though, goofy family but nice.

Wow, I forgot he owned the range. He let me hit for free when we played together. Randy is a tough little dude. He caught for us from time to time. He's got to be in his mid to late 40s now. They were a goofy family. Boston was a little prankster. He was always at the First Baptist afterschool program when I went to work out. He'd make fun of me in the gym and then I'd go out and nail him in the head when they played dodgeball. He was a turd but good at overall mischief. He always kept me laughing.

Was disappointed to see him with a popped collar as he carried Kelly's bag. I have always been on the fence when I see people on the golf course do this because it does serve the purpose of keeping the sun off your neck. I wouldn't do it but I may look at it different when I see it at the course rather than in the grocery store.

I didn't see any of it. Is Boston still rather rotund?

He is solid. He doesn't look as out of shape as he used to. Just solid, but still big.

He was a husky kid...you could tell he'd grow up to float lots of kegs and bench a fair amount.
