that article is incredibly, incredibly misinformative.
If that guy tried that crap against teams with comparable athletes they'd get beat more often than not.
I'm all for onside kicks and going for it on fourth down. But when you are playing a good team, you'll lose more times than not on onside kicks and going for it on 4th and long inside your own 20.
Ever notice that teams with great defenses usually have great punters?

Didn't read the article but I've heard about this guy plenty of times. I agree with Fischer that if you're playing a good defense they probably aren't going to win many games; however, I can't stand it when college and pro teams are across the 50 and sometimes even on the other teams 40 yard line and they punt. It drives me bat shit f-ing crazy and it's every weekend I see this crap. Teams will be this far down field losing by a couple TD's and still punt.
Texas A&M did this against Arkansas when they had their biggest lead and punted to let their defense hold them. I was livid and looked at Ashley and said they are going to lose this f-ing game. They were on Arkansas' 40 yard line, 4th and 3 I believe and they punt for a net of 13 yards. Arkansas went and scored easily starting their comeback. My neighbors don't let their kids play outside when I"m home anymore.

Umm Tebow may win the Super Bowl. He makes some really awful throws but the dude is a winner. I dont know what to think.

Wow. Had no clue that steak existed. Good find Framp. I was looking at the roster of their 2001 team just last night. Quite an amazing pool of talent the Butch and Nevin Shapiro put together. 5 first rounders. |
