No. They were horrible. All weekend I felt like I'd just been kicked in the gut and my gotten dumped at the same time.
How on God's green Earth can you say they were good?
Smite for the notion that it wasn't a complete failure of a weekend.

As a whole package sports were good. Aside from the sour taste that was left in my mouth after about 6pm on Saturday, as a whole, there were some other good college games and a bunch of good NFL games.

I am calling your fanhood into question here.
As a fan, I was miserable the rest of the weekend and am just starting to get over that horrible loss. I really didn't even want to watch any other games the rest of the weekend.
Tonight is another story. I am feeling better today.

Well what was I supposed to do? Sit in a dark room and suck my thumb until I was allowed to watch football again? Football is a great medicine for football. Watching games yesterday took my mind off all of the college games. A win tonight would really help too.

You are allowed to do whatever you want.
I couldn't stomach it.

Watching other games took my mind off that ridiculous second half.

Blackmon reminds me of T.O. in more than one way.

Good stuff
I read an article a while back that talked about the risk/reward on going for it on fourth down. Basically they said once teams get past their forty yard line they should play with all four downs instead of three. From their research the benefit far outweighed the risk.

Pulaski Academy is a private school in LR that recruits from throughout the city. They play against small private schools that have NOWHERE near the resources or the athletes. I am sure that contributes to their success as much as the "never punt" strategy.
Not saying it wouldn't work, just saying I'd like to see it applied in a more balanced situation.

I mispoke. PA does play some public schools but those are in the lower classification levels. Arkansas does not have a seperate division for private schools. My point remains the same, PA has a huge advantage in resources and athletes over their competition. Fischer's comparison is spot on.
