Colorado and Va. Tech got the worst of it though by not even getting invited. The Big 12 commissioner is on the selection committee. Colorado being left out was just a little good bye present from him.

I kind of thought that as well, but then why did Beebe let daddy tu get screwed as well. If Deloss Dodds says jump Beebe asks how high.

It seems like they made it more regional this year. At least for the big conferences. Aside from a few outliers, most teams are in the bracket that relates to their physical region.
I can see them leaving Colorado out, like Mike said. Maybe Beebe has something behind putting Texas at a 4, and giving them the easiest road to the Sweet 16. In exchange, they have to take their chances with Duke if they get there. Purdue jumped them as a 3, so they could avoid another Kansas or A&M matchup in the SW bracket.
I'm trying to put some logic to it as we speak. But, it doesn't really make much sense.

Purdue as a 3 is another one I can't wrap my head around. Georgetown as a 6 is also a head scratcher. UCONN as a 3 is ridiculous especially with Louisville behind them at 4. I'm really being honest when I say this is one of the worst seeded brackets I have ever seen.

Maybe Vegas is behind it. Last year there weren't many upsets. By seeding the bracket like they have, it sets the stage for some upset potential. Those of us who don't know better may just pick the higher seed, thus throwing the betting off quite a bit.

Very good point. There has been a lot of chalk the last 3-4 years. I could definitely see them seeding in a way that encourages upsets. That actually makes a lot of sense.

Thanks. Let me know if you need help filling out your brackets. Anyone sign up for that pool I emailed out? I sent it to all of those who I have emails for. If you didn't get it, post or text me your email.

Tourney starts today. I got two brackets going in the paid pool, and two going in Yahoo. Even the wife got into the action on both.
