Jimmy was terrible without Jerry. It was both. We've been over this many times. Even Jimmy admits that he needed jerry

Maybe it was just the perfect match. Maybe it was just the triplets.

It was more than the triplets. Great team all around.

And the Payton's just moved the family back to the metroplex. Bought a house in Westlake.

I realize that but having 3 current HoFers on your O is what separated them from others.

They had a great defense, great offensive line, and great assistant coaches, too. Don't undersell their importance.
The fact of the matter is that Jimmy wasn't successful in the NFL without Jerry, and Jerry hasn't had success without Jimmy. To say that it was all Jimmy is to ignore the facts. And to ignore what he has said in interviews. He even talked about it Sunday on T.V.

Well the point is that I have changed my thoughts on Jerry in comparison to my past posts. That was my point. I really have no strong opinion on the 3 rings except that all the cards fell right.

all the cards have to fall right to win a championship in any sport at any level.
So I agree.
I can understand not liking what Jerry has done the last 14 years. Lord knows I don't. But you still have to give credit where credit is due. He was the owner who oversaw one of the greatest dynasties in the history of the NFL.

I give him credit for it, but since then there are a lot of blemishes. I used to have his back but every year I head the opposite direction. Because of his early success it has casue Dallas fans to be greedy. And since then this town has only seen one title of the 4 major sports. People around here are getting needy. Like me.

Yes, and the Stanley cup doesn't carry near the importance of any of the other three. Not even close.
So sure we need another title. But would you rather be one of those cities who has never won a super bowl? I'll take our 5 Lombardi Trophies (3 in my lifetime) over never having been to one.

There's a 65% chance the Mavs will win it this year.
