Well, I have to say that the Cowboys showed up to play. I was expecting them not to. Them Cowboys needed that win.
Shame on you Roy, for doggin' that rookie CB like that.
Mike, I read your posts.
My biggest disappointment of the weekend you ask?
The Hogs.
WTF, Over?
Them boys had Bama and let it go.

Like I said, good teams win even when they aren't playing their best.
mediocre teams do not.

your "good team" lost their first two games, one to a team that we beat. that is mediocrity at best.

I said the Cowboys are NOT a good team. At least not yet.
I said they are very talented. I think they are very very average at best. Way too many mistakes.
I'm pretty sure I said that more than once.

i went back and re-read and i stand corrected. my apologies. i get very defensive when people start telling me that my team isnt good. we found a way to win against two very good teams in the first two weeks. it might not be a big deal to non-Texan fans, but the fact that we killed the Colts and beat the Redskins in OT is huge to us. I still think that we'll wind up in the playoffs and be a serious contender. We just need to get our secondary on the same page as the rest of the team...meaning get them on the friggin field. Pollard and his attitude, and kareem jackson getting outran is ridiculousness that needs to be stopped.

No offense taken here.
You can think that they're good all you like. I would just tap the brakes before pumping the Texans as a playoff team. I turned that game on expecting to see a dominating performance over a crappy team. I kind of did see that, just in reverse.
Washington is not very good either. They're very similar to the unimpressive Cowboys, but without the talent. Better coach, though.

Let's get on some Madden 2011 and then talk shit.
That's a lot of fun.

I haven't played madden since 1993. I sucked then.
I am not defending the Cowboys till the death. I think they have to improve a ton to make the playoffs. I don't think they are one of the better teams in the NFL right now.

I think the Cowboys could be the best team in the NFL, but they won't be with this coaching staff. Wade and Co can't get out of their own way.

BTW, Jerry should be commended for bringing in the best talent and depth on any team in the NFL. As GM, he doesn't get enough credit. He does need to bite the bullet, accept defeat on the Wade hire, and fire him this year. There were at least 3-4 head coaches available that would have brought a Super Bowl to town by now.

They are definitely one of the top 3-5 most talented.
But I'm with you, I don't think they're any good.

after watching this debacle so far on MNF, I felt compelled to bring this thread back up.
Told y'all Houston wasn't very good. I didn't know they were as bad as they are, but I knew they weren't very good.
