let's talk a little recruiting...
A few of our players have received offers from Division one schools.
Here is the rundown:
Rees Odhiambo OL: Washington State, Tulsa
Rees is still wide open as to which school he will attend and is a relative late arrival in this process. Look for more offers to start pouring in for Rees.
Kendall Washington OLB: Washington State, Wyoming
Kendall is receiving a lot of interest from schools like Colorado, Boise State, and Tulsa. He hasn't really narrowed his choices down. He is another relative sleeper and will probably not commit until later.
Josh Doctson WR: Arkansas, a few smaller schools I can't remember
He is a great receiver that is not very well known because his stats aren't as high as some in the area. He likes Arkansas, but would jump at a TCU offer and commit on the spot.
Jayven Tucker CB: UTEP
The best cover skills on our team, lacks the height and speed of some others. Could be a steal. He really likes UTEP. Lots of other schools are talking to him right now, though.
Ian Simon FS: Missourri, Virginia, Air Force, Washinton State, Wyoming, Boise State
Best football player on the team, team leader, and captain. 3 yr. varsity starter. Will also play some RB this year. Basically he is a double nutted stud. Right now is leaning heavily towards Mizzou. If TCU came into the picture they could shake things up.
Tevin Mitchel SS: Nebraska, OU, Arkansas, A&M, tech, OSU, Kansas, Kansas State, Colorado, Baylor, Missouri, Iowa State, Wake Forest, Arizona State, Arizona, Washington State, Boise State, Purdue, Notre Dame, almost every other school in the nation.
Tevin is an anomally these days, he's a 6'1" corner that has legit 4.4 speed, long jumps nearly 24 ft, high jumps 6'6" and is very, very physical. Has great feet and cover skills. He will play CB in college. He has NFL talent. He has only played football 3 yrs so he's still a little green. He'll flat knock your head off, though. His dad played at OU.
He committed to Nebraska on Tuesday night.
Basically, its been a freaking zoo around our school this spring. We had almost every team in the country come by. They all followed me around all practice because of my safeties. It was funny, I had my own gallery as I ran around the field to different drills etc.
