I second Framps motion......plus I don't like guys who throw people under the bus when they're the ones doing all the drugs. He has ruined his own life multiple times and will get no sympathy from me. POW!

Greggo may be on the move again. CBS is about to make a big push to take on KISS FM and needs a big signal to make it happen. They have a top 40 format in several markets that banks and have registered several domain names that include "dfw" in the last week. 105.3 has a HUGE signal and with the Fan's tanking ratings you might see them switch to 107.5. Jerry will never allow his team to be on anything less than a 100k watt signal so 107.5 would most likely stay on as the flagship with a simulcast on 105.3. Arnie's contract was not renewed and he will be leaving June 1 and word is that Bruce Gilbert (formerly of Ticket fame) has been directed to cut costs on all levels. Stations that make format changes in the summer usually do so the first full week in June. June 4 is a Monday. Don't be surprised if they move to the enchilada end of the dial to 107.5.
This could have some ramifications for the Ticket. 102.9 has been Mix since 1991 but as of Monday is now "Now." They've slowly been moving from adult contemporary to top 40 for the last year. Now they are a full-fledged CHR-contemproary hit radio- format. 102.9 and 106.1 are both owned by Clear Channel. i93, owned by Cumulus, is also CHR. The change at 102.9 will sink 93.3's ratings even further and if CBS changes 105.3 to AMP there will be no room in the market for 93.3. Cumulus is hell bent on making WBAP work on 96.7 so the obvious move is the Ticket to 93.3 which has a stronger signal than 104.1.
The world of radio is almost as crazy as conference realignment.

That is pretty crazy. Why can't you just move the stonger signal to 104.1?

The FCC won't let them be. 93.3 has a relatively weak signal too but is stronger than 104.1
In related news, 95.9 has relocated their transmitter and has applied to boost their signal. I think this means southwest Tarrant County and NE Denton County will be able to get it more clear but it probably won't bleed over to 360 because the Mexican station is situated in Gun Barrel City or something.

I can only hear 95.9 when I can see downtown FW. Even then it's a crapshoot.

I can only get 95.9 when downtown FW is in my rearview mirror headed west. Once you get west of there, it goes all the way out to abilene just about. Crazy that it stops in the FW city limits going east.

In other radio news, 97.1 KEGL could be on the verge of a format change. And for those soul seekers, Soul 730 fired their entire staff.

I tuned into 104.1 today and couldn't get it to work in Lewisville or Carrolton. It was some old country station, but never got the letters.

104.1 was down this morning for some reason.
What are the HD channels? How do you get them. Have to have RPS (Rich People Shit)?

You have to have an HD radio. You can get them as cheap as $50. Mine is in my truck. It runs through the factory radio, just a module they connect to the back.
It gives you CD quality sound on FM channels.
