You were so danged sure that Cincinatti wouldn't pass TCU in the BCS standings, but they did.
How does that make you feel?

not to mention, they have to play Boise State. What a slap in the face. They don't even get to play a team from a real conference.
The worst part is, they might lose. If that happens, it will be 2 steps back and a horrible end to their glorious season.

There was no doubt that Cincy would pass TCU after their win against Pitt and Clemson's loss to Ga. Tech. The frogs schedule just didn't measure up.
Like I told Matthew on the Facebook: TCU sits at the kid's table of college football.

I'm sorry for these insensative people Stubbs. I feel for you. I am fed up with the BCS. They are scared to let their teams get beat by the little boys.

HAD Texas lost TCU would have been in front of Cindy. This is part of an email I sent to the Musers this morning:
If you take a look at the numbers, TCU would have played for the NC if Texas had lost. Cincy finished 2nd in the computers. TCU finished 5th. Texas finished 3th. Had Texas lost TCU would have surely been number 4 in the computers.
The numbers would have looked like this: 0.9547 for being #2 in the Harris 0.9553 at #2 in the Coaches’ 0.910 at #4 in the computers
Their composite average would have been 0.94.
Cincy would have looked like this: 0.9049 for #3 in the Harris 0.9058 for #3 in the Coaches’ 0.930 for #2 in the computers
Their average would have been 0.9136.
_________________________________________ It all hinged on Texas losing. Anyway, it doesn't matter who finished 3rd or 4th or whatever because these ARE the final BCS rankings. They don't do one after the bowls.
Yeah, we got jobbed and so did Boise State. It's a conspiracy. I'm sure the Fiesta Bowl has a fat check from the BCS that they need to discretely deposit within the next 60 days. They said it was a business decision; a poor business decision. They are going to claim that it sold out but that's because Iowa's retarded fans already bought up a sizeable amount of tickets. If you look on Craigslist you'll see Iowa fans dumping them faster than Arthur Anderson accountants shredding docs at Enron. Tickets on Stubhub went down more than $40 yesterday. TCU and Boise will bring 35k fans. 40 max. The rest of the stands are going to be filled with disadvantaged youths running wildass all over the place. I got into an argument with a guy last night in the media who said it would be a great matchup, it's what the bowl wanted, tons of people would travel from both schools, and that it will be a ratings bonanza. He lost all credibility when he revealed that he works for Fox.
I hope the Fiesta Bowl is one huge failure. It's a slap in the face to both programs. Both deserved better. TCU players are pissed. GP really needs to get a hold of them and their facebook updates. TCU fans are pissed. I'm removing my application for tickets. If I do go, I'll get some for much cheaper than the $135 a piece through the school.

TCU better win the game, though. If they don't, this season is all for naught.

Matt, I understand your pain but here's another point of view:
The BCS is the single best thing that EVAR happened to non-BCS schools. That 3-1 record is built on beating teams that thought they were going to be playing for a national championship, and were disappointed to end their season in a no-win situation against a smaller school. Now, TCU and Boise want to bitch about having to play another non-BCS school in a BCS Bowl? Get out of here. Apparently, it's not OK for Alabama to be upset about playing a mid in a BCS bowl, but if a mid has to play a mid, why that's just unfair!
15 years ago, neither of these schools would be playing in one of the 5 biggest games of the bowl season, and they sure wouldn't be making the money they're about to make. They should crawl on their hands and knees to the NCAA headquarters and kiss some ass for a system that allows them the chance to go undefeated playing 3/4 of their schedule against bottom 50 programs and then play in a BCS Bowl. It's absurd how generous the system is to them, and they just bitch and moan about it.
Again, those who think it is unfair to these guys to have to play each other, explain to me how a matchup of two of the three non-national-title contending undefeated teams is a let-down. Explain to me how a mid like Boise who beats one quality team all year can bitch about who their opponent is in THEIR MULTIMILLION DOLLAR BCS GAME, and, not only that, but bitch about them because they are another mid.
That 3-1 record came in large part due to OU and Bama being caught in trap games where they were less than excited to be playing teams from scrub conferences. I think it is the height of hilarity that these ingrates are now stuck in the exact same lose-lose position. Compare Boise's and TCU's schedule to any team in any major conference, and then come back to cry me a river about their lack of opportunity to play for a national title.
*the 3-1 record is non-aq'ers vs aq'ers in BCS bowls.
