Can you imagine dropping a bench press bar on your throat? I hope that guy turns out to be alright. And its not even the same as if I would do it with the 2.5s on each side.

How in the world do you drop 275? Did he have butter on his hands? That's nothing to a major college football player.

are you kidding me?
He wasn't maxing, it just slipped out of his hands.
I can see how this would happen very easily. I have seen quite a few weight room injuries considering I am in there for an hour a day with over 100 kids.

The only person who should struggle with 275 is the kicker. He must have had a bad grip, wrist went out, or something. 275 is nothing for a college football player man.

you have zero idea what a college football player should lift.
They aren't super humans.
Either way, it wasn't the amount of weight that was the problem. It just slipped.
The only kicker/punter I have ever been around that could bench 275 was Cody Scates.

That Combs kid was at Arkansas.
From the article Matt linked:
When he walked onto the Arkansas football team in 2004, someone in the Razorbacks’ athletic department termed Drew Combs a “handicapped kicker.”
That someone in the Razorback athletic Dept. was Houston Nutt and he used the term "one-armed" kicker. Class act that Houston Nutt.

Stubbs could post more if the majority of his time wasn't devoted to looking up ridiculous things. You did get your point across though.
