TCU would be good for the BXII and has an overall better athletic program than many others in the conference. Tap the brakes there buddy. Other than Iowa State and Kansas State (both of which are in a deep rut), TCU is well behind the rest of the Big 12.

In what? Tech is better than us in men's and women's basketball. What else?
Maybe CU is better than us in basketball...who knows? In nothing else are they better than us.
Kansas has us in basketball. We're better in football and baseball.
Nebraska has us in...probably basketball.
Put us in the B12 and we're anywhere from 4-6 as far as all-around programs go.

If TCU were in the Big 12 they would win on average 7 games a year in football. That's counting 4 cupcake nonconference games. There is no way you would be top 6 in athletic programs. 1. Texas 2. OU 3. OSU 4. Texas Tech 5. Nebraska 6. Texas A&M 7. Missouri 8. Kansas 9. K-State 10. Baylor 11. Colorado 12. Iowa State TCU would be between KSU and Baylor.

I did a quick check of the last few years of directors cup standings. The only teams that TCU routinely beats are ISU and KSU. Other than that they are behind ever other Big 12 school. You also have to factor in the raised competition from playing in a real conference. TCU wouldn't do near as well going against much tougher teams in every sport. TCU would be no where close to 4-6. The best they could hope for is 8-11 every year.

Excuse me sir, but in terms of overall programs the Ags are third in the Big 12. Second, I remember hearing a stat at the beginning of the season concerning football records over the last 10 years. TCU was 3-7 (or something close to that) vs. Top 25 teams over the last 10 years. What is reveling is not the losing record, but the fact that they have played so few games vs. top 25 teams. Teams in BCS conferences had played 20-30 games against top 25 teams.

Baylors athletic program > TCU's athletic program This is probably true. I forgot about their basketball and baseball programs being pretty good, along with the resurgence of football.

sorry. I penalized you pretty harshly for that KSU game. Understandable, but we are talking overall athletic programs, not just football.

Just to call stubbs on something:
tcu's football program has done not one thing to prove that it is a better program than Nebraska or Kansas. There is zero argument there.
Nebraska has won 3 national titles in the last 16 years and Kansas won the orange bowl 2 yrs ago. TCU has done nothing but gripe about being disrespected, then lose a few to very average programs.
