I believe the Cowboys already have their QB of the future...maybe
No matter how you spin it it is never good to lose to a divisional opponent at home. Wade better enjoy every minute he has left as a head coach.

We need a real general manager too.

How can he "suck" with the numbers he has? He is still better than half the qbs in the league. When he wins games (which have been a lot) he doesnt seem to get credit for them. But when he loses games he gets bashed, granted his play and his play alone has lost some games for them. I hope he wins a playoff game this year so I can see what all the bashers say then.

Craig, you are the master of spin when it comes to DFW sports teams.
In the NFL, you absolutely cannot lose games like that, at home, to a divisional rival. You just can't.
In games like that, a QB has to step up and play big. Ours lost the game for us.
I think your problem is that you are looking at stats. Football is NOT a stat game. Its not baseball. Stats don't mean much at all in football. The only real stat that matters is the score. That is why you don't see huge "records" talked about all the time, other than Super Bowls and wins.

Well I also look at the past 10+ years and realized what we did have during those times and am happy its not that bad. At least these days I feel we have a chance to win as opposed to getting myself hyped enough to watch Chutch, the Drews, Vinny Greenballs, Quinthy or any other spare we have run out there. The fact of the matter is that we cant just go replace him like callers are saying on the radio. They think all that we need is a quick replacement and things automatically turn good. I think he puts up a good enough chance right now to win than tearing the team down and starting over.

I'll say this...
If Kitna would have started that game, we would have won.

Here's a clip out of ESPN Magazine from this month. The Numbers don't lie. I still think we could do better with a QB that can contain, conquer, and eradicate the opponents under pressure.

Romo doesn't seem to have the intangibles: he is NOT a leader, he plays bad in big games, and he loses when it matters. He doesn't have an uncanny ability to take over big games like Aikman or Staubach does either.
And for you stat guys: the game is different now. When Aikman and especially Staubach were playing, teams didn't pass it 35-60 times a game like they do now.

Every QB is gonna make a mistake but Romo goes one of two ways with it. Either he slumps on the bench alone or he just nonchalants it. When a leader encounters adversity he sets his jaw and gets that steely eyed determination that he's going to do better AND everyone else is going to do better the next time they go out there. That's a leader, thats the type of QB a team will follow when things get tough.

He can throw up all the great stats he wants. I'm still not conviced that he can handle the load of proving he's a champion. I relate Romo to Stoops. He has good games when he doesn't need to and doesn't show up for important games when it really counts.

I can't stand Romo. I don't care what his stats look like. He's had a hell of a line, and receivers up to this point in his career. He doesn't have his head right. You gotta get your head right. Get rid of him. Kitna would be better. I hope he gets hurt again this year. Kitna struggles, and we finish in the bottom 4th of the league. Then make a play for Tebow.

They don't have to finish in the bottom 4th of the league to get Tebow. They also won't have to make a play. Tebow will be the 4th or 5th QB taken.

Tebow has leadership qualities out the ying yang, but his style of football will get him killed in the NFL. It might even catch up to him this year in the SEC.

He can do something for us. I like him over McCoy and Bradford.
