Todd McShay just put out a preliminary mock draft for 2010.
9 of the first 10 are from the Big 12.
10 of the first 13 played Texas HS football.
I know this is just one guy, but it shows where the athletes are.

no we did not.
The BCS game doesn't say where all the players are. It says where the best/luckiest collection of players and coaches are.

Hughes was #13. Says he is "under the radar". Translation: Plays at a mid-level school that no one scouts.

How is anyone under the radar in the first round? Well, maybe if your Oakland...

Take it up with Todd McShay, I didn't write it.

I guess Roethlisberger wasn't scouted by the NFL. LT wasn't. DeMarcus Ware wasn't. Dominique Cromartie wasn't either. Neither was Joe Flaco. Neither was Mike Jenkins. Don't forget about Byron Leftwich...he wasn't either...or David Carr...or Patrick Ramsey...

Don't forget about Byron Leftwich...he wasn't either...or David Carr...or Patrick Ramsey... You had a valid point until you got to these guys.

I was just listing guys taken in the first round recently. I'm sure I missed several but those were ones I could think of. I could list 30 first round busts from BCS schools in that same period of time.

True, but I'll bet that the percentage of guys that bust from BCS schools is lower than the percentage that bust from all others.

What does any of that have to do with the statement that he is "flying under the radar"? The fact that he plays in a non-BCS conference is what places him "under the radar".
If he were in a more prestigious program he would be more likely to be noticed. That is all McShay is saying.

ding ding ding.
Mike is right. He is under the radar because he comes from a no name school.
