its still a real contract. Its just a legal thing.
You are right, they should just make it the team that they played for the longest.

Also, I have not heard anyone on any radio or tv station, in Sports Illustrated or in any newspaper mention Emmitt's cardinal year, or Montana's chiefs years. They don't talk about it. Its not just me. I have no ties with San Francisco so your argument is gone on that as well. Damn I forgot that you can listen to every sports radio show in the nation at the same time while also reading every sports article written that day. Just last year when Farve came back someone wrote an article about the one day contract in ESPN the magazine. Rome also talks about it on his show every now and then. The fact that we are even talking about them right proves that their legacy is slightly tarnished. |

Mike and Mike had Joe Montana on the other day for at least 5-10 minutes talking about his legacy as the greatest of all time (possibly). Not one word was mentioned about the Kansas City Chiefs. In 5-10 minutes talking solely about his career, it never came up. I think his legacy is just fine.

Don't undersell JM's time in KC. He did make the Pro Bowl his first year. It was only two years but it was way more eventful than Smith's time in Zona.
