I looked into it. It's $16 a day for one 30 minute visit. Not too bad, but shit, I'd go broke. I'm going to make him a little place outside. Before coming back here, I seriously threw around a similar venture. $16 is about right. Are you saying you were going to go into business doing this?

Sure was. My boss talked me out of it and said how much better I'd have it here...had I been an eskimo, I would have purchased a ton of ice.

Seems like you could make a killing. I mean...what overhead do you have? Gas for your car? Maybe you would need to be bonded.

If anyone knows someone, let me know. I'm considering paying someone to do it.

And bonding wasn't even that expensive. I spent two whole days mapping out a business model. I don't think it's that hard to get off the ground but there are some dog walking snobs out there. I think in the area I'm in with a lot of single professionals, it wouldn't have been that hard to get it going. When I would take Gordon for a walk I'd pass by no less than 10 units with barking dogs waiting to be loved and taken out to shart.

Start it up. I'll be your first customer.

too damn late now. Maybe I still have my notes. There are tons of single girls that live around here with those little fufu dogs that yap and bark at everything. They'd pay $100 a week for someone to give their dogs some attention. And the ones that wouldn't pay that much would at least pay $20 for 3 days a week. That's $60 a week for an hour and a half...not bad. But it would be a beating walking dogs all day and picking up their shit. But it could also be pretty profitable even at 6 hrs a day.

plus, you would be in great shape from walking dogs all day.
You could also find old people to walk around like on King of Queens.

10 customers, 30 mins each. Plus drive time. That's only 6-7 hrs a day.
If you charge each one $15 a visit, that's only $150 a day...$750 a week...$3000 a month...$36,000 a year. Then, you gotta pay taxes. Not that attractive, buddy.

you would have to double up. Walk like 6 dogs at a time. Then you could walk 60.
60 * 15= $900 a day. $4500 a week, $22,500 a month, $270,000 a year before taxes. You could be rich.

haha, you have to think big.
there is a little overhead though.
Leashes, pooper scoopers, new running shoes, wind pants, a nice set of headphones, a coat for the cold days.
Also, I am sure you would have to have some dog treats.
Oh, and i bet you would have to take out some sort of insurance policy on the animals in case one of them kicked it while you are walking it.
Just think, you could get 20 a day, and pay some illegal 1/8 of what you make to do the work for you. You could sit at home and watch jeopardy.

absolutely not.
But in an area overrun with rich, daddy's girls, who don't know how to care for, or work for anything living other than themselves, it could be a goldmine. Also, there are yards here. It wouldn't work.

It would also be a major pain in the ass, dealing with those little dogs and their owners.
