Why can't Romo say something like this?
Tim Tebow after a loss:
"I promise you one thing: a lot of good will come out of this. You have never seen any player in the entire country play as hard as I will play the rest of this season and you'll never see someone push the rest of the team as hard as I will push everybody the rest of this season, and you'll never see a team play harder than we will the rest of this season."
Instead of this?
"I wake up tomorrow and keep living. You don’t [deal with it]. You just keep playing the game. It’s a fun game, and it’s enjoyable. We’re going to try to win next year. We’re going to try to get back in the playoffs, and we’re going to try to win a Super Bowl.
"If you don’t, OK. If you do, OK. Then you’re really a great player. If you don’t, you’re just a solid, good player, and I’ll have to deal with that, not you guys. That’s just part of the job.
"I’ve had a lot worse things happen to me than a loss in a sporting event, that’s for sure. If this is the worst thing that ever happens to me, then I’ll have lived a pretty good life."
yeah Tony, that's just great.

That was stupid to say.
I mean, yeah, he is right. There are more important things than football. But right after a loss is not the time to remind everyone of that. At least act like you care.

Romo is at about 14:48 for his 15 minutes of fame. After next year he will be back on the pine.

They should. Nothin like splinters in your ass to motivate you to get better.

www.journaltimes.com/articles/2009/01/20/local_sports/doc4973d446c81ad154989985.txtLatest from Romo: “If I’m never going to win the Super Bowl, I’ll be content in life. I’ll be disappointed because that’s what I wanted to do. At that same point, it’s not going to be something that makes me a better human being.
“I think I’m going to work very hard to try to obtain those goals. But I’m not going to pretend to say that that’s what life’s all about either.” PLEASE!Bring a QB in here that will light a fire under this slackers ass.

I don't judge the man for thinking that but don't go saying that after three straight December collapses. Some things just need to be kept to yourself.

What a pansy. He needs to quit football alltogether and go to LA where he belongs. Add Romo to my funch in the face list.

I heard Craig Miller say this morning that Romo wants to be a celebrity and not a QB.
I support this.

I think if you look back through the threads you'll find where I said the same thing in '07. I think Finch did too.
