I had a blast this past Saturday at Texas Stadium. The $185 ticket was well worth it. I wish I would have gone to more. I had 3 buddies from high school in town for the weekend, and it was good to catch up with old friends. Saturday, we got up and ate breakfast and watched football til about 1PM. Then, stopped off at the store for food and beer. We got out to the parking lot at about 2:30. The traffic was easy to get in since we were so early. We sat around the truck and drank and ate all afternoon. The tailgate scene was badass. About 5, we walked through the tailgaters headed to the stadium. The place was nuts. Ate a few free brats and ribs on the way up, thanks to the generosity of fellow tailgaters. Drank more beers on the walk. Got up to the stadium about 6. It got freaking cold then. Drank a few $8 beers during the game. That stuff sure tastes good in the stadium. Our seats were really good. Upper level, but on the sideline. The crowd was awesome, stood up the whole game. It was cool to be in there for the last game. Romo choked it up early and often. Then, we came back at the end. When those two runs went off, that place went dead. The post game festivities were cool with fireworks and all the old players. The drive back wasn't too bad, but the walk back to the truck was freezing. What a day!
