Don't shoot the messenger!
I would debate the various strengths of the SEC over the no defense, flag football Big12, but you are obviously very emotional right now.

I'm not emotional. I am factual.
The SEC has two good teams. One in each division. The Big 12 has 4 good ones in the South. Throw in a decent Mizzou, and a decent Kansas and you have the toughest conference in football.
I guess the SEC has georgia and Ole Miss. But they are about on par with Kansas and Mizzou.
Part of the reason they all have good defenses is because no one can score. All defenses look good when there is no offense on the field.

The defenses at LSU, UGA, Ala, and Florida would all shut down offenses like Tech and Okie Lite.
Meanwhile the Tech and Okie Lite defenses would give up about 50 to each of those teams.
After all the dust cleared, the Big 12 re-emerged as the usual Big 2-little 10.

uh, everyone is scoring on UGA and LSU. Tech would destroy Alabama, they can't score.
There are 4 good teams in the South alone. Kansas and Mizzou make 6.
your math is no good.

This is my one and only smart ass comment in this thread, since I don't know shit from shinola when it comes to these types of conversations...
I know that Troy looked pretty damn good against LSU...

haha, taking the stubbs approach, huh?
Yes, tceh would destroy Alabama. Alabama has about a third of the speed they would need to stop tceh. And they can't score enough to stay with them. It would get ugly quick.
Alabama and OSU are about even.
OU vs Bama would be just nasty.

I think you would be surprised. Alabama has a stout defense and tech's defense is a seive. Bama would win.

IMHO bama's defense is not set up to defend a team like tceh. We will see if they can slow Florida down.
and bama's offense is anemic. Edge goes to tceh.

I agree with Mike on Bama. I'm taking Bama this weekend and it will be a lot closer than the experts think.
Is Fulmer done? I think lots of teams, esp. AU and MSU, would love to have him but he's a Knoxville guy through and through. When I used to do a lot of Tennessee work I looked him up in Blount County. He and his wife have a place with almost 40 acres. I doubt he'll leave his wife there while he's coaching elsewhere and he probably doesn't want to rent it out or pay for the upkeep while he's not there.

He just got paid 6 million dollars. I'm sure he is quite content.

I don't think Bama will beat Fla. this weekend. I do think it will be closer than what everyone thinks. Saban is a better coach than Meyer, but he doesn't have the athletes; yet.

I don't see why you think he is better.
They have the same number of SEC and national titles.
Meyer has been a conference champion in every conference he has coached in.
