Stubbs you have been uncharacteristically quiet on this one.
You nervous? What are your predictions?

Its on CBS College channel again.
The MWC has the worst tv contract in America. The MAC gets a whole lot more exposure.

Matt had the line of the night at the Fischer Fiesta when he said:
"TCU is usually on either QVC or the Home Shopping Network."

No, not nervous. The only thing that concerns me is playing on the road on a short week after playing on the road a week before. Like the BYU game, it should be played on Saturday. No one outside the conference really cares anyway so why bother with Thursday?
I think we'll win. Utah's athletic QB shouldn't be too hard to contain. We have a tremendous amount of speed on defense and once he gets popped a few times by the hardest hitters in college football he'll get gunshy.
The passing game has been coming along quite nicely over the last month. Even though we've been racking up over 200 yards on the ground I'd still like to see some consistency from drive to drive. I don't think we've had a 100 yard rusher since the SMU game-and that was from the backup QB. We have lots of guys that carry the ball but I'd like to see someone take charge and carry most of the load tonight instead of the backfield by committee they've been using. In the OU and BYU game the key matchup was WRs against the TCU secondary. I think tonight is the TCU running game against Utah's DL. Frogs win 24-13 (Utah has a damn good kicker).

I honestly have not seen a harder hitting bunch in football this year. Miami has a bunch of hard hitters too (see the A&M game) but they're young and go for the big hit instead of making a fundamentally sound hit. TCU's linebackers have delivered some mean hits this year. They knocked the Wyoming out-literally out cold. I'll have to find some You Tube clips. I know they're out there. Daryl Washington and Rober Henson-look 'em up. The team also leads the nation in sacks by 7 and tackles for loss by 5. Junior DL Jerry Hughes leads the nation with 14 sacks and 17 TFL.

Thank you for your well thought out and completely unbiased opinion.
I'm sure the an SEC defense has nothing on TCU.

Thank you for your well thought out and completely unbiased opinion. I'm sure the an SEC defense has nothing on TCU. First off, go to the library and check out a book on grammar. Second, it's not biased. I would never say this about last year's team or even '06 which had some hard hitters too (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81T8E4viEac). There have been at least a dozen of these hits this year.

The other day Joe Schadd (sp?) and Mel Kiper both said TCU has an SEC calibur defense.

Stubbs, you are the most biased person I have ever met when it comes to looking at the team they like.
TCU is an above average mid major. Not a single player on their defense was offered by a big time school. They may have a guy or two that could contribute at a big time school. They DO NOT have a defense that could perform week in and week out in the Big 12 or the SEC. They just don't.
It is extremely laughable that you think you are unbiased. That is like me saying I don't have an accent...everyone but me knows that is not true.

I never said they could perform WI&WO in the Sec...the experts did. All I said is that they have the hardest hitting D in the nation. Sure they have the #1 D now but the #s are skewed by who they've played. I think they could still be a top 25 D in a big conference.
