The Cowboys started drafting a lot better in 2003. From then on, their drafts have improved almost yearly. Thus, a 13-3 season last year. The key will be if they can take the next step and make a deep run in the playoffs this year.
I would much rather have a Super Bowl Champion than a bunch of pro bowlers. The yankees have a bunch of all stars, but not any rings in the last 8 yrs.
No one is saying that we shouldn't get free agents. But the Cowboys of the late nineties and early oughts relied heavily on them, and it didn't work out.

Those guys are all ProBowlers I guess that's not good enough. As far as drafts go, I'll take the picks of DeMarcus Ware, Jason Witten, Kevin Burnett... One guy they did miss during the draft was Tony Romo. Oh yeah, everyone else in the NFL did too. How'd he work out? When you are the Cowboys, just having pro bowlers is not good enough. Just like having all stars is not good enough for the Yankees. I really think this is a very simple comparison. How has Romo worked out so far? Well, he and I have the same amount of career playoff wins.

I think Finch barely missed the playoffs last year and came in 5th in the pro bowl voting.
Not terrible, but not Romo status either.

hahahahahaha
You're right Mike, Romo is a great qb. He is much better than Tom...no I mean Pey...no but what about Eli...no maybe Ben...or Matt...not him either. Could he be better than Donav...not really, maybe Philip...no, not him.

I would take Romo over:
Rivers Brees Hasselbeck Patches O hoolahan in SF Warner Orton Whoever the Lions have Rogers The Rams QB Matt Ryan (as of now...he's going to be pretty good) Any one of Tampa's 12 QB's Jake Delhomme The Vikings Thrower Jason Campbell Jamarcus Russell Brodie Croyle (or their other QB of the week) Kerry Collins or Vince Young David Garrard Matt Schaub Anderson Palmer Flacco Favre (at this stage in his career) Pennington Trent Edwards Probably Eli Manning Probably Big Ben (he just doesn't impress me...their defense won that championship)
That leaves: Cutler Peyton Manning Brady McNaab

are you sure he's not talking about Leinhart or Schaub? All three are about the same.

Hasselbeck?
He's a broken down qb that has lead his team to a sterling 1-4 this year.
Try again.

Did he beat Romo in the playoffs two years ago? I'll take a proven winner thank you.

Good point.
Someone call Christopher Loyd and tell him to fire up the flux capacitor. Me and Finch are going back in time!
