But that was the first time I read it so I would have Exalted even if you hadn't asked for it.

I just can't believe people actually eat gar... I looked up a bunch of recipes on google yesterday and none of them looked good. Guess I will have to stick to catfish.

There are about a dozen different types of gar but I will focus on the main ones I know in Texas. Longnose Gar- The smallest of the gar in Texas, has a very long mouth with very sharp teeth around the edge. Can vary in color but mostly has yellowish brownish color to it. Spotted Gar- Looks similar to a Longnose, but has a shorter mouth and spots cover it's body. Alligator Gar- The largest of any gar in Texas, its not uncommon for them to get over 200 pounds. As you can see from my pics, has the head of an alligator, put also has razor sharp teeth. Color can range from yellow to brown and some have spots on their tail. Longnose Spotted

They only get that big in lakes for the most part. The Trinity has huge ones for some reason, but in most rivers they don't get much bigger than 100 pounds.

No problem Rhonda.
I've also heard the Rio Grande has some big ones in it as well.

I don't think a gar has ever bitten a living person before.
