I had the opportunity to tour Kyle Field this weekend. Starting with the behind the scenes stuff...grounds area, concessions areas, storage rooms, offices, locker rooms, press box, the zone, and even walked the field. That place is amazing. So much history and tradition.
Tyler's brother in law is the new Athletic Concessions Manager at A&M, and showed us around. It was pretty cool to see all that stuff, from where the popcorn/pizzas are made (each has it's own room) and how everything is run there during game days.
Also saw the bonfire memorial for the first time. Pretty chilling stuff for sure...

We're going to a couple this year I hope. I know we'll make at least one. I can't wait. That'll be the highlight of this football season for me.

I'll be there on Sept. 27 for the Miami game. TCU/SMU is that same night. I hate to miss it but I'm pretty confident the Frogs won't have a problem. Last year TCU/TU was the same day as Miami/OU. I can't catch a break.
Miami/A&M will be an interesting matchup as both have been sheep in wolves' clothing the last couple years. Who knows what either team will be like.

Sully, did you see the real locker rooms (Bright Complex) or the ones under the stadium?
The ones in the Bright Complex are the nicest I have ever seen.

If the great John David Crow didn't suit up in it or Bear Bryant didn't drink a fifth of Southern Comfort in it then I don't want to see it.

Unfortunately, we didn't have a free pass to the new ones. The locker rooms under the stadium were cool though.

cowtown, you wouldn't be interested then... these are in the new bright complex. They are plush.
The others are pretty nice too. That is where other teams (High schools etc.) dress when they are the home team at Kyle Field. Its where the Ags used to dress before the Bright complex was there.
The visitors locker rooms are supposedly tiny and crappy. I have never seen them.

Maybe that's the problem with the team. Too cushy of a surroundings. I think Sherman needs to rent him a couple of buses from the Bryan ISD and take those boys out to Junction.
Two buses to go down there but only one needed for the trip back.
