The biggest problem I have is that CJ apparently thought he was Superman all this time and tried to play through bone spurs. I still think he can be a great closer in this league but damn, if you're not healthy don't try to be a damn hero. All you're doing is hurting the team, hurting yourself, and putting your career in jeopardy. Remember when Wetteland pulled that crap at the end of his run here? He was awful. Playing through pain is one thing but for pitchers its a lot different because you adjust your mechanics to alleviate soreness and that will lead to other problems. Same thing with QBs. There's speculation that Delhomme's Tommy John surgery was propagated by an ignored bone spur.
The worst thing is that the Rangers have known about this. So shame on CJ. Shame on Wash. Shame on JD. Shame on Mark Connor. Shame on Dom Chiti. And, yes, even shame on Nolan. Will Clark could play through it because he was an out of shape firstbaseman. When it happens to your closer, he needs to be shut down immediately.

This is an injury created to cover for his sorriness. He's lost it. He will never recover as a decent closer in this league. I hate him.

No, I think it's legit. He'll have surgery. Norm is echoing my sentiments right now.

I agree with Sully.
He may be injured, but that's not why he sucks.

If you look at his performance over the last two months, it's gone downhill fast. There's definately something wrong.

I think his performance has been about the same. Hence this thread being started on June 19th.

Not too nice for Ranger fans.
We lost the AL Rookie of the year for a month.

Judging by your throw I'd say you don't know much about the game of baseball.
And he will not be the ROY. Longoria has that all but wrapped up. But DM would be my choice.
That's what happens when you lolligag around 3rd.
