I don't pretend to follow basketball all that much, especially the Mavs, but I heard today that they are thinking about getting rid of Avery Johnson. Now I'm kinda partial to the Little General from his Spurs day. Always hated seeing him in the Dallas organization just because I hate Mark Cuban. Why do you hate Cuban? I know he can be a complete dick sometimes and no I don't agree with everything he does but he is the one who turned this thing around. He may be way over the top but there is no doubting his love for the little mavs and you know he will do anything it takes to win which is fine by me. I gagree with sully... Cuban does love the little mav's.... He will go to no end for his team... but he will never trade Dirk. Avery is gone. |

I think Doyle said that, not Sully. I don't think he'll trade Dirk now just because he doesn't have that much value. If the rumors were true, they should have sent him packing to LA last summer for Kobe. Dirk is still a good player and his skills have not dimished at all but now we all know that this is what he is. He's not going to get any better and he's injury-prone. I always thought he was going to be a Larry Bird-like player but he never made it to that point.

Dirk's injury will save Avery's job. He was destined to get his head lopped off but now he has an excuse for the piss poor job he has done.

Trade Dirk and whoever else it takes to get Lebron or Kobe. Keep Kid so he can pass it to one of those guys. Bring MJ out of retirement again and beat the hell out of everyone.
Gameplan - Kid passes to either MJ or Kobe/Lebron, they score, maybe play defense, we score more etc etc and we win.

Just found out where our seats are for tonight, and they are only 10 rows up from the floor, close to mid-court. Not bad. Tyler got them from the CL distributor at her restaurant. Hmmmm....
