I am hearing it will be moved back to Thanksgiving Day night. This is when this game is supposed to be. I love this move.

Will they also be restoring the Chicken Ranch tradition for the winning team?

UT announced that they will play one game on Thursday next year...but it will probably be an OOC game.

This one backs me up too.
Texas to move football game to Thursday night By Kirk Bohls AMERICAN-STATESMAN STAFF Tuesday, January 08, 2008
NEW ORLEANS — The Longhorns and Aggies are looking into moving their annual rivalry game back to Thanksgiving Day this season, University of Texas athletic director DeLoss Dodds said Monday.
And Texas A&M athletic director Bill Byrne said he "plans on being with our friends from the state capital next Thanksgiving."
Their comments followed an announcement in New Orleans by an ESPN executive that Texas had agreed to move a game to Thursday night for telecast on the all-sports network. ESPN executive vice president Chuck Gerber refused to specify which Longhorn game would be played on a Thursday other than to rule out the season-opener against Florida Atlantic and the Red River Rivalry game against Oklahoma. But Dodds said Texas has not agreed to play a game on Thursday: "We've been asked to play A&M on (Thanksgiving) Thursday, but have not given them an answer."
Dodds said Texas A&M is the only opponent Texas would consider playing on a Thursday. He cited several objections to Thursday games, including parking issues, students' classes and fans' midweek travel plans.
Of the 114 games between Texas vs. Texas A&M, 60 were played on Thanksgiving. But since 1993, the teams have not played on the holiday, usually playing on the day after Thanksgiving instead.
Gerber said that having Texas on ESPN's Thursday night lineup, which is expected to be announced next month, is a coup for the network. The same goes for Southern Cal, he said, which has agreed to play Oregon State on a Thursday next season.
"It's a big-time deal, absolutely, anytime you can get a school the quality of a USC or Texas to play on a Thursday," Gerber said.
