great thread full of fail for Matt and me being proven right!
I was a much better poster back in the day. Hell, we all were. This place has gone to seed.

Great find!
I stand behind every single statement I made on this thread: Petrino has done well, his offense puts up points, defense is a struggle but they compete because they have a good DC, and Mallett was a choker. Only thing I was wrong about was that McMillan would succeed at A&M. He was horrible.
Some things don't ever change. Stubbs was repeatedly wrong, and was repeatedly owned on this thread. It never gets old.
Exalt to Cowtown for finding this thread!

Mallett not a choker. He returned Arkansas to football relevance. #15 forever!

Yet, he still never won a big game and made crucial turnovers that cost the hogs games.
He may have gotten you to the next level (I think thats not fair to all the other players and coaches), but he couldn't take you to the level you want to go to.

We will have to agree to disagree on Mallett. In my mind, he will be remembered as a Razorback hero. He lead the team to some outstanding wins (LSU 2010, both A&M games, to name a few). If he would have come back for his senior season, Arkansas probably would have retired his number. I also think if Mallett had gone to College Station, the Aggies would have fared better than under Johnson/Tannyhill.

I will give you the 2010 LSU game. The others were against crappy teams. I don't know how much better we'd have been at A&M if he had come here. We always scored points. We just turned the ball over at bad times.
