I bet you they'll cap the season tickets the year before so that all of a sudden they don't get 5000 more requests for season tickets that year for Hog fans. For the Tech game season ticket holders were advised to be on the lookout for season ticket holders who sold their tickets to Tech fans. They weren't going to be "punished" or anything but they wanted to stress how much they look down on that kind of thing. For the Ark. game I'm sure they'll probably do something similar and probably be more likely to follow through with revoking their future season ticket priviledges. It sounds kind of bush league but when Texas has more current students than we have living alumni you have to do things like that. This won't be like the days long ago. I would anticipate about the same amount of Tech fans...about 10-12k.

No, people would still show up.
this isn't tcu or smu we are talking about.
If the ags and hogs were in Dallas, they might push 100k

I doubt Arkansas fans will be competing with TCU season ticket holders. I am sure there are more than enough single game tickets to influence the home field advantage at Amon Carter. Texas, Texas A&M, and OU could all easily do it. Arkansas' return to the metroplex will be no different.

Well, by then, the season ticket numbers will be at or around 20k. Students/band/drill team will be another 8k or so. The place holds 46 on a good day. 44 is listed as capacity, I think. That leaves about 16-18k for the general public and I'm sure they'll make it to where you actually have to go up to the ticket office to buy a ticket and not sell any online for the game. They'll do everything legally possible to make sure there's as little red as possible there...that is, of course, unless they have a string of seasons like this one....then they'll welcome all the people they can get.

I will bet you that there are 25000 or more Hogs in the stands...They are willing to pay big money for tickets and tcu fans are fickle. Season ticket seats will be filled with crimson clad hogs. SOOOOOOOOOOEEEEEEEEEEEEY!

There is nothing they can do to Arkansas fans that wasn't tried by Texas schools when we were in the SWC. It didn't work then; it won't ever work. I had a lady at the Baylor ticket office flat out lie to me and tell me the BU/UA basketball game was sold out. When thousands of Arkansas fans complained; Baylor (the good Baptists that they are) admitted they just wanted their fans to have an opportunity to see the game and were trying to preserve their homecourt advantage. Count on a sea of red and hundreds of Winnebago's camped out in your parking lot by Thursday of game week. You will feel like you are in the middle of "Deliverance".

I have been to tcu and Baylor games many many times. The only times there were good crowds were Aggies, Hogs, t sips games. The stadium was not even half covered in purple or green at either venue. This will be no different.
Its big time football. This isn't the MWC. These schools have HUGE fan bases in the metroplex who don't get to see their teams play very often. They do what it takes to get tickets.

Exactly right.
Matt-the largest Razorback booster club is not in Fayetteville; it's not in Little Rock; it's not in Memphis...it is in Dallas.
They'll be there. All. day. long.

I'd like to apologize to all my fans out there. Sometimes my Razorback red blood boils over.
God Bless Texas!
