Our OC doesn't teach class, so he has all day. He is the J high coordinator.

Do they have a Jonathan Jolley on their team?

Damn, Coach? You Switzer 'em by hangin' half-a-hundred and you say "not a great performance"?

the only way they scored was 3 big plays. In three weeks we have given up 7 big plays, seven scores. Other than that we have played lights out.
We HAVE to stop giving up the big plays.

How do they score 17 points on 3 big plays?

It must have been an extra long field goal...but I don't consider that a 'big play' necessarily.

First play of the game 60 yd. run. we stop them for three plays, they kick a chip shot.
second big play was a 47 yd run.
3rd big play was a 50 or so yd run.

Therefore, seven scores from seven big plays.

AHA!
Interesting quote from the great Coach Glen "Chuck" West:
“The second half we settled down and got real vanilla, and that’s what we needed to do,” West said. “We went real vanilla in the second half and it worked out well.”
What did I say in the first post of this thread? Coach West and I think alike...you think he would be interested in the Arkansas gig?

He means we got real simple to stop making mental mistakes, not to keep people from seeing our stuff. We simplified our assignments a bit because they had only run 5 different plays out of 3 formations. It just so happens that 2 of those plays produced three huge gains.
Anyways, we played a lot better in the second half.
