I think you just proved yourself wrong. Texas is in those the most. I think you have football wrong. Boston doesn't give one shit about the Pat's unless they are good. Dallas has die-hard fans and will still be leading the sports even if they are 1-15. I'd put Chicago up there before Boston. In fact, I'd put Green Bay, Miami, Philly, Cleveland, and KC up there before I'd put Boston.

How can you leave STL out of baseball? Those people really love their Cardinals. The Cardinal players are treated just like we treat Cowboy players here.

Not to mention, overall Texas has better bass fishing than Florida. Florida has a few more big bass per acre of water but Texas has more great lakes and more bass as a whole.

What's your take on College athletics? Be honest. Does TX really compete with the SEC and PAC 10 states?

Wrong about baseball. Texas and California. Cali is better but Texas is number 2 as far as sending players to college and pro ball. I think I saw once where Illinois surprisingly has a good high school baseball scene.

In the metroplex college sports are overshadowed by the pros and not nearly as big as they are in SEC country. It is no exagerration to compare successful Razorback football teams to Super Bowl champion Cowboy teams. Both sets of players are treated like Gods in their respective home areas. Same thing in La/Ala/Fla/Ga/Ms/Tn...and on and on... Maybe it's different in other areas of Texas?
