ARKANSAS
The handwriting appears to be on the wall for Houston Nutt. A name to remember: Will Muschamp. He's a rising star who runs the defense at Auburn. Did you see what his defense did to Florida?
Muschamp has it all: The Georgia grad is young (36), has NFL experience and big-time college experience under Nick Saban, who I know will go to bat for Muschamp.
And there is a connection between Muschamp and new Arkansas A.D. Jeff Long, as each worked together at Eastern Kentucky in 1999. But can a new A.D. afford to take a chance on a promising-but-unproven commodity?
I still think a guy like Tulsa's Todd Graham should be considered. And Auburn's Tommy Tuberville would be a good hire. He's an established coach who has succeeded at a high level. Plus, he's an Arkansas native.

I've seen a rumor about Tommy coming to A&M if all this stuff gets Fran fired.

I think Tubs at A&M would be an outstanding hire.
Auburn defenses can flat out play. And he has new coordinators ever freaking year so it has to be something he does.

I like Muschamp; and the fact that he has ties with the new AD would make him a pretty good bet for the Arkansas job. I keep hearing Tubberville; but I think he may still hold a grudge about being passed over 10 years ago when Broyles hired a retard. I'm fairly convinced this is Nutts last year; if he loses a bunch more he'll get fired, if he manages to stay out of the teams way and they win he'll try to parlay that into another coaching job. Whichever one of these occurs is fine by me.

Tubberville would not go to Arkansas IMHO. If he leaves Auburn (which is probable) he will go out of the SEC.
